Hyperspace Garbage Collection
Hyperspace Garbage Collection is a two-player action game by Razh, entered in GitHub Game Off 2013. The two players control opposite halves of a garbage-collection scenario in orbit: one compresses collected matter, the other expands it.
Split across a keyboard, it is a fast, chaotic two-player game where the tension is that every mass one player adds makes the space the other has to work in more crowded. It was built for the Game Off theme of garbage collection and uses the classic CoffeeScript + RequireJS stack. The repository also includes a level editor for building your own stages.
How to Play
- Player one: gather the matter in the field.
- Player two: expand and pressure the play space.
- Keep the orbit stable as the mass grows.
- Play together or build your own level in the editor.
Controls
- Player one - arrow keys
- Player two - WASD
- Space - primary action
- Enter - confirm / next
Tips
Both players can run out of room at once. The winning move is usually the one that takes a player out of their own half, because the space you leave is the space the other cannot fill.
